Awards and Commendations

Family Life Ministries has a distinguished history and as such, over the years have recieved many awards congratulating us on our dedication to family relationships in the Caribbean. We will continue to strive for exelence as we help our fellow brothers and sisters, and build the kingdom of God.

Awards recieved:

• The Jamaica Association of Evangelicals In recognition of your good work in the interest of better family life in Jamaica. 1989 - 24th Anniversary of the JAE
• The Salvation Army Caribbean Territory Award "... In recognition of the valuable contribution (FLM) had made to strengthen the family life structures both in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean." 1994
• National Press Award "For outstanding community service in promptong healthy family life in Jamaica through counselling, documentation and educational programmes" 2000
• Press Association of Jamaica "The Family Life Ministries Centre can serve as a model for other Counselling Centres, (November 2000)"

• Dr. Lorraine Barnaby, Consultant Psychiatrist, Department of Community Health and Psychiatry "Since 1999, students in their fourth year, doing their five-week psychiatry rotation have spent an afternoon at the FLM centre. They also reported in their end-of-clerkship assessment, how informative and rewarding the experience has been."
  
• National Council for Senior Citizens Senior Citizens Programme, for outstanding achievement in Nation Building September 2005
